UNPRECEDENTED TIMES
Clerical abuse in religious institutions is something Christians cannot deny. This happened. It happened to children and other vulnerable people at the hands of people from whom they expected love, compassion, and care. This was a result of a seriously disordered culture in the Church. Christians can now no longer do Christianity without acknowledging the failure of the churches and other religious institutions, and we must be sensitive to the victims and survivors of this abuse.
